SERCO VILHO LKS DISC BUCKET SPREADER
The number one of spreading the grit to large areas is SERCOn Vilho LKS Disc Bucket Spreader also called as throwing disc spreader was renewed at autumn 2022. We got some feedback from our professional users of some situations and made some improvements to this so called face lift version to make good and efficient spreader even more better and more efficient.
These high-quality machines for cost-effective prevention of slipperiness have been designed, assembled and tested by Serco in Finland. First Serco Vilho LKS Disc Bucket Spreaders were made and sold 2014-2015. It was that time first Finnish made disc spreader. Already in the beginning these are designed and made for professional users for long term and efficient use.
Now we have solved some issues at renewed Vilho LKS Disc Bucket Spreader. The conveyor will not stuck, spreader is more quiet, grit material will not stuck to plate and greasing of bearing is much easier.
Blockage of conveyor
Now the conveyor will not stuck even at long distance transfer drive. Grit material will not package too tight over the conveyor. There is protect shield above the conveyor and there is also more space around the conveyor.
The wear and tear of plate´s back cover
In the new version the plate´s back cover is rubber so it will not worn so easy like the metal version. In addition it is much more quiet than before.
The frozening/stucking of grit material at dropping plate
Before in some situations could grit material stick or frozen at dropping plate. Especially when the grit material was warm and metal dropping plate was cold. In the new version the dropping plate´s angle is sharper and the plate is covered with plastic.
The greasing of bearing
Before you had to remove bolt mounted side cover to grease the conveyor`s bearing. Now in this new version it is much easier, there is small hole (with plug) which makes greasing easy and fast.
Can be attached to various base machines
Serco Vilho LKS Disc Bucket Spreaders are ideal for fighting slipperiness in a variety of situations and are available for various base machines and in a total of 7 size classes. The disc bucket spreader can be attached to a traditional agricultural tractor as well as a compact tractor or a utility machine.
The Serco Vilho LKS series disc bucket spreader can be equipped with any quick coupler. The most common quick coupler for this series is the three-point coupler, but all coupler options are available, which means that the machine can also be mounted on the rear lifting device of a utility machine. We already stock more than 20 different quick couplers and more can be made if needed.

Robustness creates reliability
Serco Vilho LKS Disc bucket spreaders are fairly simple in construction and are extremely reliable even in tough use. Thanks to their straight-forward and well-designed construction, there are few parts that may malfunction or need servicing. These features are cost-effective in the long run and are user-friendly. Vilho disc bucket spreaders are designed for sanding with 3-6mm or 4-8mm sanding crushed stones. The space between the sander screw and the bucket part is so narrow that we, as a manufacturer, do not recommend applying a coarser than 8mm gravel with these disc bucket spreaders.
Saves time and money and makes working easier
Despite their simple operation, the Serco Vilho disc bucket spreaders have all the adjustment possibilities that are necessary for achieving a good result. The electronically controlled, hydraulic adjustments are handily made from the cab during driving. Both spreading capacity and width can be adjusted from the control panel. The spreading width can be steplessly set between 1 and 8 metres.
Thanks to their adjustability, the Serco Vilho LKS Disc bucket spreaders are a material and time-saving choice for keeping slipperyness at bay. In an optimal situation, up to 75% of time can be saved when compared to traditional disc bucket spreaders, thanks to the stepless spreading width adjustment. Up to 30% of spreadable material can be saved, thanks to the even spreading technique of the disc bucket spreader.

More versatile than you think
Unlike it is often thought, a SERCO Vilho LKS Disc Bucket Spreader can also be used for spreading grit close to vehicles. By adjusting the spreading height, it is even possible to spread grit under vehicles. This comes in handy e.g. in truck depots. When spreading grit under trailers using the Vilho LKS, the driven rear wheels of the truck also grip when the truck pulls away the parked trailer.
The Vilho LKS has versatile uses even when it comes to hard-to-reach areas, such as stairs and their vicinities. By raising the bucket, the Vilho LKS can even be used to spread grit on stairs. It saves time and makes work easier when it isn’t always necessary to take out a shovel for spreading grit on stairs and their vicinity.

All disc bucket spreaders come equipped with handy electro-hydraulic spreading capacity and width adjustment. Other standard features are a quick coupler adapter and safety net.
